| Big Pot Making Course |
Double the size of your pots in one week 4th - 8th August 2008 & 11th - 15th August 2008 Now in it's 10th year, this summer pottery course is designed to enable anyone with basic pot throwing or hand building skills to increase the size of pots they can make. John Huggins, famed for his rhubarb forcers, has been making a wide range of handthrown terracotta plant pots for over 25 years.
We will concentrate on: Clay:
Throwing:
Hand Building:
Confidence and familiarity with clay and techniques comes with repetition so most of the week will be spent in production using steadily increasing weights of clay. The week will be quite hard and tiring but also, I'm sure, great fun. You can keep as many pots as you like but more importantly you will leave with increased confidence and skill. If you would like to discuss anything about the course ring me on 01594 543577.
