Pot Throwing Taster
Held on selective Fridays
9am-4pm
COST: £120
These single day classes will introduce you to the rudiments of throwing clay on the potter's wheel.
By concentrating on a simplified technique you will quickly be able to make small simple shapes.
After lunch we will progress to the traditional method of manipulating clay on the wheel. We will decorate the pots by brushing on coloured liquid clays.
Classes are limited to 8 with each student having a dedicated wheel.

Ruardean Garden Pottery is a professional production workshop established in 1979. For 25 years the pottery produced a wide range of wheel thrown terracotta. Now it concentrates on a much smaller range of thrown traditional garden pottery together with a range of limited edition press moulded plant pots.
The aim of the pottery throwing classes is to develop skills rather than take home a lot of pots. The materials charge for 3 pots collected after glazing and firing is £10. Alternatively you can have your favourite pot glazed and sent to your home for £10.

Schedule: 9am - 4pm.
Cost: £160. Includes tea and coffee at mid-morning & mid-afternoon. Lunches of bread, cheese, biscuits, fruit etc.
Terms & Conditions:
In the event of having to cancel a booked place, you will always be offered alternative dates. Please, however, give us as much notice as possible.
£50 of each place booked will be regarded as a non-refundable deposit. In the event of cancellation, all the remaining money will be refunded, provided we are notified more than 30 days before the start date of the class.
