From raw clay to fired pots: this 6 week evening class is designed to teach you the skills of throwing on the potter's wheel. All levels are welcome, from absolute beginners wanting to learn to throw, to improvers, and experience throwers.
The classes are limited to 4, each student having a dedicated quality wheel. Tuition is by a combination of demonstrations, one to one instruction, and plenty of repetitive practice. All the facilities of a professional workshop are available and there is an unlimited amount of top quality clay ready to throw.
As well as learning how to throw we will also cover clay preparation decorating with slips, turning/trimming, and kiln packing.
The aim of these pottery throwing classes is to develop skills rather than take home lots of pots. Students can keep two pots per week. There is a modest charge to cover the material and firing costs, based on the weight of your pots.

Terms & Conditions:
In the event of having to cancel a booked place, you will always be offered alternative dates. Please, however, give us as much notice as possible.
£50 of each place booked will be regarded as a non-refundable deposit. In the event of cancellation, all the remaining money will be refunded, provided we are notified more than 30 days before the start date of the class.
In the event that we need to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided, or alternative dates offered. However, our liability will not extend to bookings made with third parties e.g. travel/accommodation etc.
