A Potted History...

John Huggins, together with his family, make a range of plant pots and ceramics from various types of clay, mostly terracotta. After 25 years making a wide range of handthrown terracotta with a team of skilled assistants he now concentrates on limited editions of more distinctive pots such as his Fern Pots, Landscape Pots, and Sphere Planters: contemporary pots made with traditional techniques. In some of his work he incorporates references to prehistoric elements such as fossils and rock formations; in other pots he enjoys the exuberance of energetic electric blues. In all his work he aims to create pots that are fresh, robust, and vibrant: you won't find pots like these in garden centres or supermarket warehouses.
